Email templates and webinars in the transition to a new deployment platform
Dragonfly provides visual security intelligence reports and forward-looking geopolitical risk assessments to help their clients stay ahead of global security threats and crisis risks.
They asked us to assist with their email templates in the change from using Pardot and moving over to Marketo.
The challenge
A new set of email templates built specifically for Marketo; flexible enough for a range of different uses such as webinar invitations and intelligence newsletters, whilst refreshing the overall look and feel, as well as improving the level of consistency across the different types of messaging.
How we helped
Having previously assisted with the deployment of a number of campaigns through Pardot, the transition over to Marketo required an evaluation of the existing templates that would be carried across, to identify the common elements consistent in all the emails, as well as blocks which were specific to certain uses.
Marketo’s editor allows a very modular approach and templates can contain many different modules to tailor an email in many different ways. It also utilises snippets, tokens and variables that can be shared across modules.
This enabled us to build multiple elements with a common colour value according to Dragonfly’s brand. These can be selected in a dropdown to globally change all instances of this colour within the email – buttons, headings, background colours etc.
The results
A stunningly easy to use and flexible template that could be manipulated for all of Dragonfly’s email comms.
