Chris
Director
Chris started out his digital career on a Vic-20 where his love for all things computerised flourished. A developer at heart with a love of creative programming and problem solving, creating a solution to a complex problem makes his heart sing. Chris co-founded 1973 Ltd in 2004 along with Dave, naming the company after the year they were both born. 25 years in the industry with a huge passion for it, and still going strong!
David
Director
Inspired by the burgeoning digital revolution in his teens, Dave ventured into web programming, clocking up years of experience as a developer within digital agencies. He became certified as an Eloqua developer in 2009, leading him onto a path of providing specialist email marketing services. In 2004 Dave co-founded 1973 Ltd along with Chris, naming the company after the year they were both born. Dave now heads up production and development, fuelled by lots of tea!
Tom
Creative Director
With a varied range of agency and in-house experience in the creative industry, Tom's expertise and wealth of knowledge in digital design and UX, branding, print and OOH means he’s got it all covered. With a keen interest in delivering quality designs for clients, Tom always keeps at the forefront of his mind exactly what the end user wants and needs throughout every project. Tom is hoping this year to learn a bit of Python using a Rasberry Pi and go on a bricklaying course.
Vicky
Client Services Director
Vicky joined us early in 2018 and brings a wealth of experience managing all types of projects from web development to print. Having started in the world of the web as a front-end developer she’s got a working appreciation of what is possible and loves nothing more than delivering strategic solutions that make a real difference. She’s an avid traveller, nature lover and is out most evenings after work enjoying a walk with her cat.
Laura
Senior Account Manager
Having sat both sides of the fence, Laura brings to the accounts team 7+ years’ experience working in agency and in-house positions. She loves a client brief that lets her take creativity to the next level and push the boundaries when it comes to all things digital. Outside of work Laura loves an adventure, from beach walks on the Cornish coast, to backpacking Vietnam solo. And if adventure’s not an option, an Aperol spritz in the sun will suffice.
Steve
Front End Developer
Having a background of over 15 years in creative artwork for print and online, Steve joined 1973 in March 2019 to make the jump into front end development, building on his experience in creating emails and animated web banners. A love of progressive rock and live music sees him touring with his own band up and down the country.
